Flat electrical insulation layer on tissue or paper backing - has dispersion deposited and fixed with catalyst mixed with wetting additive

A flexible flat insulating material which consists of a tissue or paper type backing material with a film of insulating material made from heat vulcanising silicone rubber. The backing material has good dielectric and mechanical properties. The dispersion deposited on the backing is fixed with a catalyst. The coating consists of several layers homogeneously mixed with a wetting additive. Each layer is pre-dried at 80 degrees C to remove the solvent. This is then followed by vulcanisation in hot air at 200 degrees C. Material is used for wrapping around the conductors of high voltage rotating electrical machinery.
