The pressure medium operated device for the fine adjustment of moving parts of machine tools incorporates a pressure-sensitive component which is adjustable against a reverse thrust force by pressure medium feed into a chamber. In the pressure medium feed conduit (7), is a valve (10) which in the closed position, prevents pressure feed into the chamber (8). This valve (10) can be moved to its closed or opened positions by a change signal produced manually or from the machine tool control. In its rest position, the valve (10) is pneumatically operated, and is movable into its open position directly before a nominal adjustments position of the piston (2) of the pressure-sensitive component (1).
