<p>Ta recovery from condenser scrap involves keeping Ta in metallic condition while contaminants are removed by a rigidly observed combination of physical and chemical processes by- (1) grinding waste and screening from ductile wire, (2) enriching Ta component by electrostatic and/or gravity separation or by flotation, (3) extracting metal impurities with acid, (4) high temp. treatment in vacuo, with addn. of reducing agent to balance O-content, to remove oxides and vaporise residual contaminants.</p> |
