Foam mat fixture to flat roofs - uses plate fitted bushes and engaging pins passing through mat hole

Device for fixture of foam material mats on to a firm base as in flat roofs, has an insert retainer formed by a bush (8) arranged on a plate, and a pin (12) for fitting engagement in the bush (8). One such insert retainer with its plate (9) is fixed to the firm base by welding or adhesion, whilst another with its plate (13) locates on the top surface (14) of the foam mat (4), both retainers passing through a hole in the mat (4). The insert pin (12) is made from a bendable, flexible material, such as rubber or similar, and the bush (8) is of a length which is less than the thickness of the foam mat (4). Inter-engaging counter hooks are provided on the retainers.
