Heat insulating partition - for coke oven chamber repairs with joined sections suspended from ceiling girder on rollers

A heat insulating partition for use during repairs on hot walls of coke oven chambers is composed of individual sections, consisting of carriers made of steel rolls and enclosing several layers of heat insulating mats. These partitions are tied to each other outside the chamber by steel wire and are inserted in the chamber clse to the wall to be protected and away from the wall to be repaired. These partitions are easier to handle than the conventional partitions of up to 17m length and 8m height which have to be pulled in by the coke pushing machine. They are lightweight and have an improved lagging capacity.
