<p>1534842 Loudspeakers R J McMULLEN 13 June 1977 [11 June 1976] 24575/77 Heading H4J A moving coil loudspeaker comprising coil 3, permanent magnet 2 and diaphragm cone 5 is provided with a second moving coil transducer 7 comprising coil 8 and permanent magnet 9 for producing an output signal proportional to the cone velocity. The output signal is used to produce a feedback signal which is fed to the input of an amplifier driving the loudspeaker coil 3 to provide a motional feedback arrangement. A spacer 26 separates the two permanent magnets and a bolt 10 attaches the transducer 7 to the speaker frame. The coils 3 and 8 are wound on a common tube 6 which is attached to the speaker cone. Amplifier circuitry for use with the speaker, which may be one of several speakers fed via a crossover network, is described with respect to Figures 2 and 3 (not shown).</p> |
