<p>The present invention relates to a fume purification system used in conjunction with food cooking equipment. The fumes which are generated during cooking pass through a plurarity of filter balls (11) washed by an oxidizing liquid (13) which removes the greasy contaminants from the said fumes. A cooling coil (17) is also used in conjunction with the filter balls (11) to accelerate the condensation of the fumes. If required, a charcoal filter (6) is placed before the purified air is returned to the atmosphere or recirculated in the system.</p> |
