PURPOSE: To obtain a composition for promoting intracellular ATP (adenosine-5- triphosphate) concentration, comprising an amino acid or its salt, a metabolite, an electrolyte and a pentose. CONSTITUTION: This composition comprises an amino acid or its pharmacological permissible salt, preferably an amino acid which is a metabolic precursor, a metabolite (e.g. choline chloride or inositol), an electrolyte (e.g. magnesium phosphate) and a pentose (e.g. D-ribose). ATP concentration and biological activity are promoted by oral administration and wound repair ratio by local administration. The optimum composition of the composition is 0.89wt.% of L-glycine, 3.54wt.% of L-arginine, 17.72wt.% of D/L-methionine, 14.92wt.% of choline chloride, 13.15wt.% of inositol, 13.15wt.% of L-aspartic acid, 9.84wt.% of L-tryptophan, 3.10wt.% of L-phenylalanine, 2.95wt.% of L-histidine, 2.22wt.% of L-proline, 13.15wt.% of D-ribose and 11.37wt.% of magnesium phosphate. |
