PURPOSE:To improve the picture processing/recognizing accuracy to the multi- level data by using a digital correlator which contains an array of exclusive ORs and is used for a local parallel pipeline process. CONSTITUTION:In a digital correlator a data register A1 delays a 1-data clock, a reference register A2 inputs the data on a code function, and a mask register A3 prescribes the arithmetic of the code function. Furthermore an exclusive OR circuit A4 computes the code functions for each picture element included in a local parallel matrix of a higher order. An AND circuit A5 prescribes the arithmetic, and a pipeline under-tree A6 adds the computing results. When the pictures are processed and recognized to the multi-level data, a digital correlator is used for each bit and connected to the tree A6 to apply the single multiplication, the double multiplication, and the 2N<-1> multiplication to the lowest rank bit, the next bit, and the highest rank bit respectively. |
