PURPOSE:To permit solution of the problems involved in a separate provision of a plurality of porous membranes and ion-exchange resins by permitting removal and refinement of cation and anion and fine particles in a single container at one time. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of porous hollow fiber membranes 4 having cation-exchange function and a plurality of porous hollow fiber membranes 5 having anion-exchange function are embedded in seal members 2 and 2' in such manner that both ends of the membranes are brought into walls 2 and 2' with the inside of the membrane penetrating to the outside. A receiving part between the two seal parts is provided with a separating wall 3 which prevents the ion-exchange liq. from being mixed together outside the membranes. Inlet pipes 6, 9 and 9' are provided separately from one another in communication with the receiving part and the exterior part of an outer tube and an outlet pipe 10 is also provided for communication between the inside of the membrane and the exterior part of the outer tube through the seal surface. As the case may be, the inside of the membrane 5 and the outside of the membrane 4 are communicated with one another by pipes 7 and 7' and three-way valves 8 and 8' and, as required, the exterior part of the outer tube is made communicative with either the outside or inside of the membrane 4. |
