Agricultural phosphate-citrate buffer - for preventing insolubilisation and flocculation of fertiliser solns.

Prepn. of buffer for use in agriculture as a spray on the above-ground parts of plants comprises mixing 5 pts. citric acid, 5 pts. of Na citrate and 1 part of mono-, di-or tri-potassium phosphate. Used for neutralisation of irrigation water to avoid flocculation and insolubilisation of nutrients. The powder may be applied alone or mixed with fertiliser.
