Ball castor with automatic orientation - has friction roller mounted on stem extension and displacement limiting rollers mounted on polygonal inner surface of lower shell

The roller castor has a housing with a bell-cap in which is amounting rod with a head on its bottom. The head carries a friction roller which contacts the ball of the castor. A shell is mounted on the bottom of the cap, the shell having a polygonal interior section and mounts rollers which bear on the ball to limit its displacement. Each roller is pref. a snap fit in notches at the ends of the recesses in the shell. The shell is centred on the cap so that it can be either welded in place or located by a snap fit.
