<p>Prodn. of a screen for pressing fruit, fruit pulp, tubers, roots and other vegetable material is effected with a warp knitting machine to allow complete suppression of displacement of the threads. The resulting fabric allows a judicious choice of frame according to the prod. to be pressed, can be deformed elastically to avoid clogging, and has holes which always remain regular due to being delimited by tied threads. It allows the press cake to level itself off, and become uniform under the press. Warp knitting of the fabric allows prodn. of different widths of fabric as required by the industry, and a redn. in cost, more easily than with a conventional warp-weft loom.</p> |
