The machine manufactures the inner leaf wrapping for a cigar by taking a complete tobacco leaf and removing the central rib. The leaf is then simultaneously cut into equal width strips, from each initial half-leaf. It comprises two belt conveyors, each of which has vacuum units, for holding the strips of tobacco, and several loading and unloading points. At the end of the second conveyor the strips are passed onto a third belt conveyor, aligned in the direction of their lengths. This third conveyor is at an angle to the second and delivers the cut strips to the wrapping machine.
