The hair cutting scissors, intended for professional use, are powered by an electric motor in order to reduce the physical exertion required from the hairdresser. The scissors have a plain fixed blade and oscillating blade in the form of a comb. The oscillating blade is driven by a crank pin attached to the shaft of the electric motor (a). The motor (a) can be switched on by the sliding switch (C) fitted to the wall of the cylindrical plastic casing (d) which enclosed the motor. An alternative design uses a vibrating electromagnet to drive the oscillating blade. The scissors are partic. useful for thinning out very thick hair.
