The recirculating ball worm and wheel drive has axes which intersect at a distance at any required angle. The contact between the worm and wheel is replaced by rolling friction by the balls. The worm spindle has helical grooves for guiding the balls and central bore for recirculation. This spindle has a waisted sleeve so that balls can come into contact with suitably grooved worm wheel. The balls in the worm recirculate from the worm periphery to the central bore of the worm spindle.
