Multicoloured Jacquard fabric - having pattern fabric overlaid on inner side with fabric knitted with second needle bed and joined along upper and lower edges

Multi-coloured Jacquard fabric is produced on a double bed flat knitting machine in that following the knitting of the pattern on the first bed the second bed is used to knit a superposed fabric over the pattern fabric which is connected with the superposed fabric along opposite upper and lower edges and also at locations where the loose yarns on the inner side of the pattern fabric have been form into loops with the superposed fabric. Loose yarns of pattern fabric are covered by the superposed fabric and any non-aesthetic appearance is avoided.
