Suspended conveyor loading mechanism - has mechanical controls on haulage unit and hooks at loading and unloading stations

The mechanism loads and unloads an electrically-driven hanger conveyor with a haulage unit to which trucks are coupled. These each have a number of pairs of hooks, and at loading stations, equipped with separator mechanisms they pick up and discharge trucks from and to another conveyor, particularly of the gravity-operated hanger conveyor type, below. Trunnions are provided on the handling tackle, controlling the time of pick-up or discharge of the incoming tackle. Mechanical controls (42) are mounted on the haulage unit (41) and the pairs of hooks (8) at the stations. On the haulage unit there can be a line-shaft (42) driving a conveyor chain (26) with lugs (43), and also an intermediate chain (36). As the electrically-driven hanger conveyor moves forward, the latter chain drives an intake feed conveyor, which is inclined (37), at the loading station (2), so that this runs in synchronism with the electrically driven hanger conveyor.
