Particulate chaff (window) consisting of a number of lightweight bodies, which are ejected by a flying object and are distributed in space in the form of a cloud, consists of fine particles which are sprayed from a single special container and subject to dielectric losses. The loss particles can consist of Fe, esp. Fe (III) oxide, Ni, metal carbide, metal alloy or C, resp. graphite. They are 0.1-20 mu m in size, are spherical and may be colured.
