A flow regulating valve for central heating systems is designed to respond to pressure, flow and temperature. Three actuating spindles lying on a common axis are coupled to the flow restricting regulator. A differential pressure diaphragm actuator has inlets supplied from either side of the regulator and thus responds to flow rate. A second diaphragm actuator of an identical design responds to the difference in feed pressure and return line pressure. A capillary connection to the return line allows temperature changes to cause an expansion bellows to also move the regulator spindle. The regulator position is adjusted on the basis of either flow, pressure or temperature.
|
