<p>New combinations contain (a) a cpd. of formula (I) or a salt together with (b) a potentiating benzimidaozle, excluding the combination of diamphenethid e with oxfendazole or one of its saltS. In formula (I), G an dG1 are H, saturated 1-7C hydrocarbyl (opt. substd. by OH, NH2, mono- or di(1-4C alkyl)amino or 1-4C acyl) or unsaturated 2-4C hydrocarbyl; G2 and G3 are H or 1-4C alkyl; and G4 is -CH2-,-(CH2)2-, -CH2-O-CH2- or the group -C2(G5)H3-O-C2(G6)H3- in whichG5 and G6 are H or 1-3C alkyl. The new combinations are useful in the prophylaxis and treatment of helminth infections. They are partic. active gainst liver fluke. The effective dosage of (I) against fascioliasis is decreased by certain benzimidazole derivs. Specific cpds. (I) include diamphenethide, and specific potentiating benzimidazoles include fenbendazole.</p> |
