1501565 Pyrazole derivatives BAYER AG 11 June 1976 [13 June 1975] 24328/76 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of formula wherein R is H, CF 3 , alkyl, aryl, heteroaryl or aralkyl; R1 is H, alkyl, aryl or aralkyl; R2-X- is R2(Y) 0-1 CH 2 CH 2 or R2CH : CHCH 2 in which Y is O or S, the CH 2 CH 2 and CH : CHCH 2 groups are possibly alkyl-substituted, or is R2-CH 2 , and R2 is optionally substituted aryl in which two substituents may together form a fused ring, or is pyridyl; and R3 is carboxylic- or sulphonic-derived acyl, or may be (e.g.) ethoxycarbonyl. These compounds are prepared by arylating the corresponding pyrazolones. Therapeutic compositions having diuretic, saluretic, antihypertensive and antithrombotic (including thrombolytic) activity comprise compounds of the above formula and may be administered by the conventional routes.
