<p>PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of cable connecting work by moving a stress cone on a cable insulator while sliding the fellow plastic tapes on each other. CONSTITUTION:Of the two double sheets, an inner side Teflon(R) tape 2a is fixed at its both ends to a cable insulator 1 by adhesive tapes 3, 4. While an outer side Teflon tape 2b is fixed with also its one end by the adhesive tape 3, but the other end is left free. Next, a stress cone 5, in which a lubricant is applied to the internal peripheral surface, is inserted from a cable end, and while the outer side Teflon tape 2b is slided for the inner side Teflon tape 2a, the stress cone 5 is additionally moved in a direction indicated by the arrow. After finishing connecting work, the fellow inner and outer side Teflon tapes 2, while they are slided for each other, are drawn back with the stress cone set up in a predetermined position.</p> |
