PURPOSE:To reduce the deformation of a flange part, the deviation of the web center, etc., by providing a guide face run along the flange width end face of a rolled stock on a guide and providing the guide length from the rolling mill inlet side to the point where rolling reduction is started by a vertical roll. CONSTITUTION:A universal rolling mill is composed of a horizontal roll 1 couple and a vertical roll 2 couple. A rolled stock 3 for shape having web and flange is guided/induced to the universal rolling mill by a guide 4. Now, guide faces 4a-4d along the flange width end face 3a of the upper part or lower part of the rolled stock 3 are provided on the guide 4. The guide length l2 from the inlet side A0 of the rolling mill to the point A1 where the rolling reduction is started by the vertical roll 2 at least is then provided. Thus, the guide induction can surely be done in the space from the inlet-side of the rolling mill to the outlet side. |
