Compositions which can be cured to give elastomers are used as adhesives. They contain diorganopolysiloxanes having a viscosity of at least 100,000 cP at 25 DEG C and from 0.1 to 1 mol % of vinylmethylsiloxane units. No vinyl groups other than in vinylmethylsiloxane units and possibly in triorganosiloxy groups are present in these diorganopolysiloxanes. At least 90% of the organic radicals other than vinyl groups are methyl groups, and any other organic radicals present are phenyl groups. In addition to these diorganopolysiloxanes, the compositions also contain, as essential constituents, organopolysiloxanes containing at least 3 Si-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule and catalysts which promote the addition reaction of Si-bonded hydrogen with vinyl groups. Adhesive compositions of this type which have been rendered electroconductive are suitable for bonding flexible resistive material of sheet-like heating resistors to the electrodes.
