<p>The pruner has a fixed cutting blade (3) whose lower edge is concave, the highest part of the edge being near the pivot axis (12) of a movable cutting blade (13). The latter is forked to receive the nose (4) of the fixed blade between its spaced cutting edges. The movable blade (13) is pivoted towards the fixed blade (3) by sliding a sleeve on support (1). The support comprises telescoping metal tubes connected by a tension spring hooked onto bolts (5) at its ends. The cutting edges of the pivoted blade are bevelled towards the fixed blade, which is itself bevelled. Tearing of the wood being pruned is avoided by staggering the cutting edges of the pivoted blade.</p> |
