The infinitely variable gearing comprises an input shaft driving a tubular swash body. Two drive rings are mounted inside the swash body concentric with the swash axis. The rings surround and have rolling friction drive engagement with respective driven cones arranged, big ends adjacent, on an output shaft coaxial with the input shaft. Springs urge the rings along the swash axis toward the big ends of the cones. The cone angles are the swash angle so that when the cones are moved axially in opposite directions the rings must follow along the swash axis to change the transmission ratio. The movement of the cones is effected by fluid pressure system through the output shaft.
|
