The hooked anchor plate (11) slips over the top flanges of 'I' section steel beams, and is esp. for fixing guard rails and safety nets to steel-framed roof structures. When fitted to an eaves beam the plate may house the edges of permanent roof sheeting and accommodate gutter supports. The plate (11) may be of elongated rectangular plan and with one end (16) returned down through 180 deg. to form a hook (17). The other end may incorporate either a keyhole slot (10, 19) or a long straight slot, and two rectangular flaps (14, 15) are cut out and bent through 90 deg. to project on alternative plate faces. The flap projecting below the plate locates a specific distance from the hook, and acts with the the hook to position the plate on a beam flange.
|
