Ski brake for safety ski binding with a brake link in the form of a swivelling brake lever capable of being moved under spring tension from a non-active postion into an active braking position. The brake is combined into one construction unit fitted to the ski together with a section of the binding enclosing it such as a heel automatic or a front jaw. To produce the spring tension moving the brake link (44) into the active braking position it is possible to utilise a spring also used for other purposes within the binding.
