<p>An electric machine, pref. an asynchronous motor has at least one special electric heating element (22) to warm the inner air-space or cavity of the motor. The machine is of the type suitable for operation in chemical plants or cooling systems etc. located in tropical climates having high humidity. To provide a simple and inexpensive electric heating element that does not require enlargement of, or other alterations to the stator housing of the motor, the electric heating element comprises a filament winding, specif. a bifilar or double-wound winding, that embraces one coil winding head of the stator winding, on the peripheral side.</p> |
