<p>The front and rear brakes are controlled w.r.t. the rear axle loading by a special valve in the rear axle brake line, and by a separate control valve (10) in the front axle brake line. The control valve operates in relation to the modulated pressure of the rear brakes. A bypass line (11) to the front axle valve is fitted with a simple valve (12) held closed by the rear brake pressure so that if the rear brakes fail then the full braking force is available for the front brakes. The system provides a failsafe interlock so that the vehicle can be braked safely while retaining the load sensitive control on both axles.</p> |
