The suction cleaner has a motorised blower with a separate blower compartment (37) and motor compartment. All sides of the motor (8) have a cover (33) which consists of an inside and outside shell (34,35). The cavity between (36) the two sheels (34, 35) serves as an air duct (3) for the blown air. The inner shell (34) encloses the motor (8) in such a way that there is no connection to the surrounding air. Cooling flanges (6c) on the inside shell (34) project into the gap (36). The cooling flanges (6c) and the inner shell (34) are joined together.
