<p>The heat pump is esp. for heating systems, having a cooling medium circuit and a motor to operate a heat pump compressor. Compressor and motor are located on a common shaft. The energy from a combustion process serves for the evaporation of the cooling medium, which drives the motor (10). The cooling medium for this process is branched off the cooling medium circuit (1) of the heat pump, and is returned to it via the motor. Motor and compressor (3) are formed as a piston engine, the crank case of which has the same pressures in motor and compressor areas. The pressure in the crank case corresponds to the pressure on the suction side of the compressor. The combustion process may be actuated via a pressure regulator (21) and/or a thermostat (20).</p> |
