Seat headrest for a motor vehicle has a frame (1) with an energy-absorbing characteristic in the event of a collision between it and the head. A transparent elastic plate (3) extends above the frame and forms with it a reinforcement (4) securing plate and frame together. The reinforcement can consist of a segments (6), whose walls are of roughly the same thickness as the plate. The latter can form an extension of the seat backrest (8) for a length sufficient to accommodate all passengers without adjustment, whatever their heights. |
