An amplitude regulating circuit maintains a specific level of signal amplitude in short wave transmissions to telegraph applications. The short wave signal is processed over an input amplifier (EV) and is mixed (M) with the output of an oscillator stage (0). An intermediate frequency amplifier (AV) processes the resulting signal and transmits the receiver (ER). The output of the intermediate amplifier is fed to a regulator circuit (SE) to maintain the signal amplitude (B) at a constant value independent of the input signal.
