In the arrangement, the charge meter pulses are transmitted via the marker circuits, the charge pulse meters being connected between the subscriber telephone number switching network connection location data allocator (RW) and the marker (P) to the marker current paths (n1, n2). The charge meter pulses transmitted via the respective switched connection path are fed to the charge pulse meters (Zh) via the subscriber telephone number switching network connection location data allocator (RW). Thus, when the subscriber connection location of a subscriber changes but the subscriber's number is retained, the same charge pulse meter can be used following the changeover of this subscriber as before his changeover for counting the charge meter pulses, without the need for a wiring change specifically for the charge pulse meter. The charge pulse meters are therefore not allocated to the subscriber connection circuits, but rather to the subscriber telephone numbers. <IMAGE>
