<p>Electric pressure pulse generator for electropulse copier comprises a discharge layer (12) contg. printing particles (27) and located next to a surface (18) to be printed on, and a printing electrode (24) which produces a pulse-like electrical field near the discharge layer and printing surface. to transfer particles to the printing surface. The electrode comprises a dielectric body (32) with a surface (34) and a conductive field electrode (30) with an end face (36) forming the electrical field. The end face is directed onto the surface of the dielectric body and spaced from it, and covered by the dielectric body. The voltage between the field electrode and a counter-electrode (28, 12) causes flow of current which charges the particles on the discharge layer, so that the particles migrate to the printing surface without breakdown between the surface of the dielectric body and the end face.</p> |
