The self-supporting hangar-type structure, easily erected and dismantled, with an interior space free from supe-pressure, can be a large plastic-sheathed workshop or warehouse, sports halls, or smaller camping tent. It is designed to combine the advantages of air-supported structures and frame-supported structures, without tje expense of the former of the difficulty of rapidly erecting the latter. The hangar structure is carried by a pneumatic or hydraulic configuration maintained under pressure, with no superpressure required in the hangar interior itself. There can be two such support frames, so that the structure remains erect in the event of loss of pressure in one.
