The composition may be used as a tyre cord impregnant. In the examples a wax emulsion is prepared from paraffin wax, microcrystalline wax, potassium hydroxide solution, oleic acid and deionized water and mixed with a vinylpyridinestyrene-butadiene terpolymer, ammonium hydroxide, a styrene-butadiene copolymer, water, sodium hydroxide, formaldehyde solution, a resorcinol-formaldehyde mixture and a thixotropic agent, e.g. a carboxyl-containing emulsion.</p> |
