The dispenser consists of a distribution trough (10) pivoted to a cage (12) at an adjustable angle. The cage is suspended from a ring (22) which is supported vertically and guided laterally by three wheels (24) set at intervals of 120 deg. to one another. The cage also has a peripheral toothed crown wheel (30) which engages with an endless chain (32) used to rotate the cage. The three wheels (24) have recessed rims; they can be moved radially relative to the cage ring (22) to engage or disengage them, and have bearings in sealed housings with a lubricant. In a variant of the design, two of the wheels can be fixed and the third movable by means of a cam and spring mechanism.
