1431617 N-oxides of benzopyrano- and benzothiopyrano - indazole derivatives PARKE DAVIS & CO 15 July 1974 [16 July 1973] 31319/74 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of formula and their acid addition salts, wherein A is C 2-4 alkylene; R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>2</SP> are each C 1-4 alkyl or NR<SP>1</SP>R<SP>2</SP> is a C 4 -C 6 ring polymethyleneimine possibly substituted by alkyl totalling # C 2 ); W is Me or ZOCH 2 , where Z is H or C 1-8 acyl; Y is S or O; and one of Q, R is H, while the other is H, halogen or C 1-4 alkoxy. These compounds are prepared by N-oxidation of the corresponding tertiary amines. Parasiticidal compositions having particular reference to the treatment of schistosome infections of mammals comprise compounds of the above formula, and may be administered orally or parenterally. |
