<p>New 1-phenoxy-2,3-epoxy-propane derivs. are of formula (I) (where R1, R1' are each H, 1-4c alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, allyl, halo or nitro, and R2 is -CR3= CR4-COOR5 or -CR3=CR4-CN; R3 is H, 1-5C alkyl, aryl or aralkyl opt. substd. by lower alkyl or alkoxy gps.; R4 is H or 1-8C alkyl and R5 is H alkyl or aryl-lower alkyl). (I) are intermediates for 1-aryloxy-2-hydroxy-3-aminopropanes used for the treatment of cardiac disorders. Typical (I) is dl-3-(2-(2,3-oxidopropoxy)-phenyl)-crotononitrile.</p> |
