LIQUID FOR ELECTROLYTICALLY ETCHING FERRITE

摘要

Etchant for electrolytic etching of a ferrite for a magnetic head is based on sulphuric acid and water in 9-2:1 wt. ratio. The etchant may also contain another (in)organic acid and/or glycerol, ethylene glycol, dioxane or triethylene-tetramine. Used for etching Mn-Zn and Ni-Zn ferrites. The etched surface is smooth and deep etching can be effected, e.g. for defining the trace width of a magnetic head.
