The printing machine prints identical data on different documents, having a printing head movable between a rest and a fixed printing position. It is particularly for printing the data common to all items in a complete consignment on the contents lists of the individual cases. It has two printing supports working in conjunction with the head (1), one of them fixed and the other movable, so that it can be brought into a position above the first, or moved clear of it. The head can be spring-mounted, while the movable support is rigid and the fixed one elastic. The moveable support can be arranged to slide into position.
