The direction indicator switch, for a motor vehicle has a first printed circuit board (12) whose conducting paths lead to connectors (23) projecting from the switch's housing. A second printed circuit board (16) carries electrical and/or electronic components (24) and is connected via conducting bridges (25) to the first board. These bridges are moved by the switch's operating member to establish various connections between the components (24) and the projecting connectors (23). The two printed circuit boards are mounted inside the housing parallel to one another. The conducting bridges are mounted on a shared insulating support (14) that pivots an axis at right angles to the planes of the boards.
