Integral adjusting device for relay contacts - has taper-headed screw pressing against chamfered face to adjust position of moving contact

A device is used for adjusting the opening and closure of contacts in electromagnetic relays. It enables consistent characteristics to be obtained. It is integral with the relay which has a mobile contact which moves between two sets of double fixed contacts. The device consists of a taper-headed screw (23a, 23b, 23c, 23d). The head of the screw (23a, 23b, 23c, 23d) presses against a chamfered face in a flexible support (22a, 22b, 22c, 22d). The flexible support (22a, 22b, 22c, 22d) is part of the moving slide (13) of the relay. The slide carries the moving contacts (14, a, 14b, 14c, 14d,) and the flexible support (14, a, 14b, 14c, 14d) restrains the contact strip against a coil spring (21). By rotating the screw (23a, 23b, 23c, 23d) the relative position of the moving contact (14a, 14, b, 14c, 14d) may be adjusted.
