The two key rings (1, 10) can be joined or separated instantaneously by finger pressure. The rings are joined by two hollow cylinders (3, 6) each with two decorative claws on the outside. Two balls in a groove in a plunger (9) join or free the rings. The plunger is held in a cylinder (6) by a washer (8). The plunger has two recesses, with sloping sides, into which the balls pass when the plunger is pressed against a spring (2) to separate the rings. The rings are joined by pushing one cylinder (6) into the other (3), with the plunger being retracted, to not grip the balls, by the action of another spring.
