Thermally insulated plastics container comprises a single piece outer container consisting of a single-walled box (I) and a double-walled lid connected to (I) with plastics straps and a heat-insulating insert which is held clear of the walls by projections to define an air gap between (I) and the insert. The insert is pref. of foamed plastics and esp. projects above the edge of (I) to form a rim. The lid may be filled with foamed plastics.
