A pulse converter (1) which converts the counting rate of a Geiger-Müller counter tube (2) located in the field of an ionising radiation into pulses equivalent to the physical Dose unit, must contain a calibration device for equalising the counter rate spread. This calibration device consists of a gate circuit (5) for counting the pulses. The gate circuit is keyed by a pulse generator (10) with a duty ratio which is continuously adjustable at a control (12). <IMAGE>
