<p>The bottle filling machine with the bottles conveyed around a circular path by conveyors (4) under the filling heads (5), has a piezoelectric microphone (6) near the filling station to indicate a bursting by a faulty bottle. The microphone is mounted inside a waterproof housing (7, 8, 9) attached by vibration damping blocks (10) to a pillar (11) along side the conveyors. The microphone is connected to an amplifier with a sensitivity control. This is followed by a switching circuit which operates above a given level after a time delay, to operate a timer which controls a magnettic valve which shuts the supply of liquid to the faulty bottle.</p> |
